From smooth jazz to heavy rock, the Quad Cities is filled with a variety of types of music for all people. Immerse yourself in the strong and diverse music scene highlighted by events such as Alternating Currents, the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival, Mississippi Valley Fair and the Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival the first weekend of August.

Take a look around and you’ll find live music and entertainment everywhere you turn. In addition to well-known Quad Cities music venues like the TaxSlayer Center and Adler Theatre, more and more shows are popping up at smaller venues like the River Music Experience, Rozz-Tox, RIBCOStardust, Daytrotter, Rascals Live and Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel.

The area’s music scene is gaining attention and it’s doing so quickly. Many of the talented artists the Quad Cities is starting to attract are on the verge of breaking out. Often times they play a few shows in the area and then go on to gain national attention. In the coming years, community members project the Quad Cities’ vibrant music scene to keep on growing at a rapid rate, as more and more venues start to pop up.
